About You
You are a highly organized, detail-oriented research professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Naturally curious and analytical, you learn new concepts and processes quickly and are comfortable digging into the details to understand how and why things work. You approach assignments with a strong sense of ownership, proactively investigate discrepancies and take responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of your work. You manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, remain calm when demands shift and exercise sound judgment about when to work through an issue independently and when to ask questions. You are receptive to feedback, apply what you learn and continually look for ways to strengthen the quality and efficiency of your work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Questionnaire programming and testing: Program, test and quality-check research questionnaires, ensuring accuracy of question wording, response options, audience routing, skip logic and other study specifications.
  • Data cleaning and quality assurance: Review, clean and validate research data; investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy and integrity prior to analysis and reporting.
  • Data tabulation and analysis: Prepare and quality-check crosstabs and other analytical outputs, ensuring appropriate respondent classifications, filters, bases and subgroup definitions.
  • Research reporting: Draft client-facing reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all deliverables. Apply established research standards, processes and quality-control procedures throughout assigned work, and take responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all assigned research deliverables before advancing them for review.
  • Report finalization: Serve as the final set of eyes on client-facing reports drafted by other team members, verifying data, calculations, narrative and formatting and resolving discrepancies before delivery. Take responsibility for the accuracy, consistency and completeness of the deliverables you finalize.
  • Normative database management: Support the accuracy, integrity and ongoing maintenance of Rivel’s normative database.
  • Team support: Partner with the Corporate Research team on additional research and operational needs as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree (market research/data experience and/or finance coursework a plus)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in primary research, market research, insights or a related research/analytical role, with hands-on experience supporting both quantitative and qualitative research
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word & Excel (intermediate to advanced Excel a plus)
  • Experience with survey programming platforms such as Alchemer, Qualtrics or similar tools preferred
  • Alignment with Rivel’s core values
